Gawron Turgeon Architects planned and designed long-time client, Maine Veterans’ Homes (MVH) Central Office Building in Augusta, Maine.
The approximately 25,000 SF, newly constructed, single-story, wood-framed office building was designed with the employees comfort and dedication to our Maine veterans in mind. Natural light, accessibility and the company’s culture were all very important aspects to be taken into consideration during planning. The landscape architecture was key to allowing employees the freedom of taking healthy breaks during the work day in the beautiful outdoors with a walkway surrounding the building, wonderful plantings and a comfortable patio surrounded by beautiful stone walls.
The value MVH places on their employees is reflected within the design of the building both inside and out.
